I am an Independent Studio Jeweler and have an Associates of Fine Arts. I specialize in hand-crafted, historically inspired, one-of-a-kind jewelry using a variety of techniques, including, but not limited to: chainmaille, wire-work, metalsmithing, and Steampunk. Each ring has been coiled, cut, and woven by hand with many clasps also being handmade.
This was part of my mom's birthday gift this year. A very large damselfly sculpture for her flowerbed. I took apart a few copper candle holders I made a few years ago and reused them to make the damselfly. The main body was one entire candle-holder that I reshaped and attached some beads and a couple buttons to. The eyes are actually buttons that I just repainted.
The damselfly sculpture has a wing span of about 16 or 18 inches.
