Bracelet Terminology & Types

("Orlaigh" by Handmaden Designs)
As with necklaces, there are also different types of bracelets.

Bangles: loosely fitting bracelets that are a solid and rigid in form; sometimes they may be hinged.

Cuff: a broad bracelet.

Handflower: a handflower is a bracelet that is attched to a ring.   They are also called salve bracelets or harem bracelets.  (There is also a form known as a footflower that is a combination of a toe ring and an anklet.)

Charm bracelet: a bracelet to which a number of pendants or small items have been attached.  Often a form of momento jewelry.
