Gemstone of the Week: Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is the name suggests is the pink variety of Quartz.  It is a translucent or transparent stone.  It is mostly found as massive aggregates, but occasionally ( though rarely) it will be found as crystals.  There is also a star, or cats-eyed variety of Rose quartz.  Rose Quartz is found all over the place, but some of the most notable are: Madagascar, Brazil, Russia, Sweden, Namibia, Spain, Scotland, and the U.S.  Rose Quartz is generally $2-$25 per stone.
