Images of Boracite
Boracite is a pale coloured crystal.  It is most often white to gray in colour, but can also be a light green when it has increased iron content.  Boracite is a minor source of the element boron, and has psuedocubic crystals  although it can also form as massive aggregates. Its crystals are double refractive and are strongly piezoelectric (it has the ability to generate a voltage when mechanical force is applied and vice verse) and pyroelectice (can become electrically charged when heated).  It can be found in Thailand, Germany, England, France, Poland, and the U.S.
